Elliot S.
"Mitzvah Meter Man"
encourages others to pay it forward!

Running late: Elliot knows firsthand how frustrating it is for drivers to get parking tickets because their meter runs out. No, Elliot does not drive, but he often is with his mom when she returns to her car only to find her meter expired and a ticket on her windshield.

25 cents is all it takes: Elliot's mom's despair inspired his mitzvah project. Elliot walked around the downtown of his small hometown looking for expired parking meters. Each time he found one, he inserted a quarter and left a note, "You have been saved by the Mitzvah Meter Man. Please pay it forward." It made Elliot happy to imagine the smiles he brought to all the people he saved from receiving tickets.
